DRAMA

In theatre and film, the story is everything, and scenography has the incredible ability to instantly transport the audience to a different time, place, or mood. With the right use of color, lighting, time markers, and spot-on details, the scene comes alive, weaving the story in a way that feels both captivating and true.

THE STORY:

"Back to Laundry Time" was Skansen's family musical that took the audience on an exciting and playful journey through a changing Sweden. Through humor and song, it explored how the introduction of the washing machine transformed dynamics in Swedish households, particularly for women. The scenography was designed to instantly transport the audience back to the 1950s, with a focus on home life and domestic chores.

SCREAM MUSICAL

THE STORY:

The classic horror film Scream from 1996 was adapted into a Swedish musical, performed by young actors.

With minimal resources, we decided to recreate the 90s, sourcing props that would transport the audience back in time, and finding costumes that closely resembled those in the film. I also took photos for the poster, capturing the essence of the era.

The production was a success.
